Allan & The Condor 'Youngsters' at Allan's 70th Bash
The start 'Garforth Railway Station' - just after 8am |
Allan wanted a challenge of completing a 70 mile bike ride on his 70th Birthday. So having asked his son in law David to plan a route he set out from Garforth just after 8am along with 'Route Planner' David, daughter Janice and very good friend '82 years young' Dave Moore.
Well you couldn't have asked for better weather. Glorious sunshine all the way.
We set out towards Selby where we had a cafe stop - early into the ride but still a very welome bacon bap and nice pot of tea.
One of the many quiet roads |
Final mileage was 74.2 miles with an average riding speed of 13.2.
A VERY BIG WELL DONE
The Finish 'Garforth Railway Station Car Park still smiling |
